Old money style has been trending consistently for the past three years now and it’s not hard to see why. The outfits are fascinating, feels polished and confident.
It’s a balance between quality and timelessness. What I love most is how these looks feel wearable in real life.
We can’t really go into the details of how old money style came about, but you can guess from the name that it has a lot to do with wealth and luxury.

This is a perfect old money outfit for autumn season. The cable knit sweater is a timeless classic, and camel tones always feels warm and inviting.
The dark indigo jeans could be classic or high waisted, it works regardless. What’s most important is how it contrast the knit sweater.
We’re going with cognac for the loafers because we need a color that works with the cable knit sweater, but not the exact same color, so it can also stand out on its own.

Because the top is bright and plain, going for patterned bottoms in charcoal plaid trousers just works. Also, the plaid feels traditional rather than trendy, which works beautifully because we’re styling an old money outfit.
Not much can be said about the shoes you choose to pair this outfit with, but I personally recommend black leather loafers because it’s feels structured and polished.

I don’t think there’s any item that screams importance more than a structured coat. People have worn this for a long time now, but it’s at the peak of the fashion pecking order nowadays.
Tan knee high boots gracefully matches the coat to a good degree (it doesn’t need to be the same color). The outfit feels polished, sophisticated, and timeless.

To many people, a plaid blazer can’t work with a striped shirt because they’re both patterned and they could be right. But this outfit throws that assumption away.
