Summer is a season that comes with a lot of fashion ideas, especially for ladies. However, I’ve come to realise that some ladies do feel left of a bit because of their height.
Yeah, tall girlies don’t get enough love when it comes to everyday fashion. Which I find surprising, because I’ve always admired how tall women can wear flowing silhouettes, wide leg trousers, and longer hemlines so beautifully.
If you fall into that category of tall ladies, then these outfits make the most of that natural advantage, or at least offer you a style starting point.
1. Sky Blue Linen Button-Down Shirt + White Linen Wide-Leg Trousers + Tan Leather Sandals
When it’s bright and sunny outside, you should be too. A sky blue linen button down shirt feels like a breath of summer air.
The color and texture looks bright, friendly, and relaxed. This is well complemented by the white linen wide leg trousers work wonderfully on taller frames.
The longer lines of the outfit (particularly from waist to feet) makes movement feel airy and naturally elegant. The tan leather sandals are comfy and keeps the look grounded.
2. Sage Green Silk Blouse + Cream Tailored Shorts + Brown Leather Loafers
Sage green silk or linen blouse feels like quiet luxury. It’s soft and catches light beautiful, which is great because summer is usually bright most of the time.
Because we need a bit of niche-ness to this outfit, we’ll go pair the blouse with cream tailored shorts. They’re a fantastic choice for tall ladies because they showcase long legs.
Brown leather loafers add a classic old money touch, but with a modern appeal because of the tailored shorts.
3. Navy Sleeveless Knit Top + White Pleated Wide-Leg Trousers + Black Leather Sandals
Navy and white remain one of the most timeless combinations, especially in summer.
The contrast feels elegant without demanding styling techniques that feels too complicated.
A sleeveless knit top feels structured but very breathable. The white pleated wide leg trousers creates graceful beautiful movement.
Reasons this outfit shines:
- Elegant color contrast
- Breathable summer fabrics
- Flattering proportions
- Timeless old money appeal
Black leather sandals properly completes the look, but tan, cognac, and mocha brown would also be fitting for this outfit.
4. Soft Pink Linen Shirt + Beige Tailored Bermuda Shorts + Tan Woven Sandals + Straw Tote Bag
Soft pink is a very charming color, that works with most fabrics, but linen is a summer staple. The relaxed feel is comfortable during warmer temperatures.
The tailored bermuda (yes, this is a color) shorts is flattering in tall women as you’ve already seen in the post. Their length feels balanced with the shirt and embraces a casual summer mood.
Tan woven sandals and a straw tote bag introduce texture. Together, the outfit feels like a leisurely afternoon spent at a coastal café in Greece or Italy.

5. Light Blue Striped Cotton Shirt + Camel Linen Trousers + Dark Brown Leather Loafers
If you’re only a little bit tired of plain shirts, then striped is the next best thing, but ensure it’s cotton (and light blue for this outfit), because they work best for summer.
Camel linen trousers feels rich and complements the button down shirt, and it’s also very breathable. On taller frames, the flowing shape feels graceful and gives off a gorgeous elongated silhouette.
Dark brown leather loafers add a bit of structure and refinement, definitely something you won’t mind wearing to the office.
6. Butter Yellow Midi Shirt Dress + White Leather Sandals
I don’t think butter yellow is a color I’ve used in this blog before, but that’s because I barely see it in real life either.
Butter yellow feels like cheerfulness and optimism, like sunshine captured in fabric.
A midi shirt dress works well for tall women because it embraces length rather than fighting against it.
What makes this outfit special:
- Fresh seasonal color
- Relaxed elegance
- Comfortable silhouette
- Minimal styling required
The idea of the outfit is to look as bright, warm and inviting as possible, so a white leather sandals definitely does not look out of place.
7. Lavender Linen Blouse + White High-Waisted Wide-Leg Trousers + Silver Leather Ballet Flats
Lavender is a color that feels soft, but remains refined and sophisticated. You can go for any blouse of choice, but I personally favour button downs.
The white high waisted trousers adds gorgeous vertical lines. For tall ladies, this silhouette feels graceful and highlights the natural body proportions.
Silver leather ballet flats add a subtle shimmer. The outfit feels polished and feminine.
8. Powder Blue Wrap Midi Dress + Tan Leather Block Slingback Heels
The wrap design of the dress gives shape to the outfit, and the powder or soft blue shade is calm and refreshing like a breeze on a windy summer evening.
Midi dresses are exceptionally fitting for tall ladies. The proportions just feel balanced and natural, which creates a graceful silhouette.
We can’t go for sandals with every outfit just because it’s for tall women, so for the footwear, tan leather block slingback heels would do just fine.

9. Cream Sleeveless Mock-Neck Top + Navy Tailored Shorts + Brown Leather Loafers
This type of outfit has ‘unpopular’ written all over it, especially the mock neck top and tailored shorts, but maybe that’s why it works.
The knit fabric of the top feels breathable, not to mention, it’s armless which is great for hot summer days.
Navy tailored shorts create a smart look. Their clean lines work beautifully on taller figures and help maintain balance throughout the outfit.
Reasons to love this combination:
- Classic summer palette
- Tailored sophistication
- Comfortable movement
- Effortless versatility
Brown leather loafers are the only usual piece of this outfit, and it helps bring everything together.
10. Mint Green Linen Shirt Dress + White Leather Sandals + Woven Straw Handbag
Shirt dresses are not the most popular ways to use linen, but it works regardless. Mint green feels uplifting, making it a great color for summer.
The line shirt dress combines comfort and intentionality. I’d recommend it for tall ladies who want to look good this summer because the elongated silhouette flatters their natural proportions.
White leather sandals and a woven straw handbag are just great additions to this look, like tomato on pizza.
11. White Cotton Button-Down Shirt + Stone Linen Trousers + Dark Brown Fisherman Sandals
This outfit is a timeless one. The white cotton button down shirt is one of the most versatile piece of clothing anyone can have in their wardrobe.
Pair them with stone(color) linen trousers and you have a standard summer casual outfit. On a taller frame, the look feels chic and natural.
Fisherman sandals adds a uncommon character to this outfit. While the shirt and trouser looks classic, the sandals completes it with vintage practicality.
Final Thoughts
Tall ladies have a wonderful opportunity to embrace flowing fabrics, longer hemlines, and wide leg silhouettes. I think there’s an opportunity there that’s underutilized.
