For a lot of ladies in the corporate world, pregnancy usually means a pause on style, but in my experience, It doesn’t have to be. You can still look breathtaking, comfortable and confident while pregnant.

I’ve always thought that maternity fashion should be a perfect balance between function and style. A baby bump deserves supportive clothing. That’s why I’ve curated some outfits ideas for expecting mothers that look good without sacrificing style.

1. Sage Green Maternity Wrap Blouse, Ivory Wide-Leg Maternity Trousers and Nude Loafers

Wrap blouses are known to be quite comfortable already, and the sage green maternity variant is a great way to introduce color and style in a way that’s flattering for someone who’s pregnant, but still comfortable.

The color feels fresh and calm. The ivory wide leg maternity trousers balances out this look. Remember, you have a baby bump that’ll make you upper half look big, so your trousers have to respond to that.

For most pregnant ladies, I’ll always recommend loafers for the sake of function, but with this outfit, it also adds a bit of style (basically carries it’s own weight).

2. Blue and White Striped Maternity Button-Down Shirt, Navy Ankle-Length Maternity Trousers and Tan Loafers

Stripes never seem to go out of style. A blue and white striped maternity button down shirt creates a crisp and professional appearance while still feeling relaxed and approachable.

It feels free around the stomach area, contrary to the non-maternity variant. The structured look of the shirt pairs beautifully with navy ankle length maternity trousers.

Like I’ve said already, loafers are quite comfortable, and the tan is a color that just fits the style of this outfit perfectly. This combination reminds me of classic office style with a modern maternity twist to it.

3. Dusty Rose Maternity Midi Dress, Beige Block Heels and Structured Tote Bag

Dusty rose or dusty pink is not a color that’s very popular at the office, which makes it so unique in my opinion. When you step to work in a maternity midi dress in this color, it just looks gorgeous.

The dress is simple to put on and you can literally create the whole outfit with just one piece. It’s simple but looks very intentional and thoughtful.

Why this outfit works so well:

  • Comfortable and breathable
  • Easy to style
  • Professional yet feminine
  • Suitable for multiple office settings

The tote bag is there to add functionality, a lot of pregnant ladies have a lot to carry around, and a tote bag is a stylish solution. while beige block heels provide comfort and polish throughout the workday.

4. Lavender Maternity Blouse, Charcoal Maternity Pencil Skirt and Nude Pointed-Toe Flats

Personally, I have a thing for lavender. It’s such a refreshing alternative to traditional office colors.

I usually pair light colors with deeper neutral ones, so a lavender maternity blouse works great with a charcoal pencil skirt.

The outfit looks grounded, even more so when you wrap things off with a nude pointed toe flats that provide comfort and elegance.

5. Emerald Green Maternity Wrap Dress and Cream Pumps

If you want to make a statement at the office, then an emerald green maternity wrap dress is the easiest way to do so. The color looks really rich, but still doesn’t come across as excessive.

Wrap dresses are among my favorite maternity pieces because they adapt beautifully to changing body shapes. They provide comfort while still creating a defined silhouette.

Benefits of wrap dresses during pregnancy:

  • Adjustable fit
  • Comfortable throughout the day
  • Flattering silhouette
  • Easy movement

Now, pumps are not exactly the most comfortable shoes, but remember, this is a statement outfit, and cream pumps completes it elegantly.

6. Floral Maternity Blouse (Soft Pink and Cream), Beige Maternity Trousers and Ballet Flats

This is a bit of a debate, some people say floral prints work in an office setting, others say they don’t. Personally, I think they can absolutely work when you style it properly.

A floral maternity blouse gives off personality while maintaining a refined appearance. You can go for any pattern you see fit, but I tend to favor brighter tone like soft pink and cream.

Beige maternity trousers keep the outfit down to earth, literally. Ballet flats add comfort and practicality which is important during pregnancy, making this combination ideal for everyday office responsibilities.

7. Rust Maternity Peplum Top, Black Maternity Straight-Leg Trousers and Black Loafers

Rust (also burnt orange or copper) is a color that looks rich and deserves more talk in my opinion. Pregnancy already makes you stand out at the work place, but if you want to stand out even more, put on rust maternity peplum top.

A maternity peplum top offers extra room while creating shape and movement. The design helps the outfit feel stylish without sacrificing comfort during pregnancy, it’s breathable and adjustable.

Black straight leg maternity trousers provide a solid foundation (like with most outfits) and black loafers provide are just non-negotiable at this point.

8. Teal Maternity Midi Dress, Nude Block Heels and Leather Tote Bag

Teal is like when blue and green have a baby (pun intended). But seriously, this beautiful color is made for professional settings and midi dresses will always be recommended because they’re comfortable.

They move gracefully and allow freedom throughout a busy day.

Reasons to love this outfit:

  • Comfortable for long office hours
  • Easy to accessorize
  • Elegant and professional
  • Suitable across seasons

A leather tote bag (preferably nude or black) and nude block heels complete the look with style and functionality.

9. Ivory Maternity Bow-Tie Blouse, Plaid Maternity Pencil Skirt and Pointed-Toe Flats

I don’t often see maternity bow tie blouses, but when I do, they always look so good. It’s so detailed and ivory is just a color I’m personally fond of.

I think plaid pencil skirts (of any pattern) are usually very interesting to at. But since we’re going with a brighter color in ivory for the blouse, your skirt should be a darker pattern (grey, navy, black, etc).

Pointed toe flats (black or brown) provide comfort while preserving a polished appearance. This outfit feels classic yet fresh, making it a wonderful option for a maternity outfit.

10. Mustard Yellow Maternity Blouse, Chocolate Brown Maternity Trousers and Tan Loafers

This might be the first or second warmest color on this list. A mustard yellow maternity blouse (regardless of design) is one of the sharpest things you can wear as a pregnant office lady.

Recently I found that earthy colors of different shade work great together, so chocolate brown maternity trousers do not feel out of place at all. The combination of mustard and chocolate brown feels rich and balanced.

Tan loafers complement both colors perfectly. This outfit feels confident and distinctive, showing that maternity office fashion does not have to rely just on neutral colors.

11. Navy Polka-Dot Maternity Midi Dress, Nude Flats and Hobo Handbag

A navy polka dot maternity midi dress is playful and charming, but you’ll be mistaken to think that it’s not professional enough for the office.

I love how polka dots bring personality without becoming distracting. This outfit is fun and a great alternative choice, if the other options do not tickle your fancy.

Nude flats offer comfort for long workdays which most pregnant ladies would appreciate. A hobo handbag (black for versatility) is practical and keeps you organized.

Conclusion

Instead of looking at it as a stylistically limiting phase of your life, you can see pregnancy as a wonderful opportunity to explore new outfits combinations with comfort being your main priority.

These office outfit ideas show that maternity fashion can be stylish, colorful, and professional. Embrace comfort, celebrate your changing body, and enjoy expressing your style.
